1 – La Aurora Robusto (Dominican Republic):
This cigar is magnificently rolled! Aromas of hay, grass herbs and blossoms combine with sweetish woody notes and nuts; added to this is delicate pepperiness. The smoke is buttery and creamy. During the course of the smoke, it remains rather linear.
2 – Vegafina Short Robusto (Dominican Republic):
Cedary and liquorice aromas combine with leathery, roasted and nutty aromas, underscored by spice, pepperiness and cinnamon sweetness. In the creamy smoke, notes of coffee, caramel and a delicate acidity develop.
3 – A Flores 1975 Serie Privada (Dominican Republic):
A rather smooth cigar with cocoa, wood and earthy notes, nuts, and roasted aromas of coffee. It develops an unbelievable amount of smoke and alongside the sweetness, pepperiness also comes through.
4 – A.J. Fernandez Maduro (Nicaragua):
Sweet, black coffee with leathery and woody aromas make for a harmonious start. Earthy aromas, a light spice and fruity notes, as well as pepper also come into play. A creamy, smooth cigar.
5 – A.J. Fernandez New World Gordo (Nicaragua):
In the beginning, a peppery, meaty taste with cocoa and espresso notes, woody aromas and a lot of herbs (thyme, rosemary) Notes of dried fruit and citrus freshness then also develop.
6 – La Aurora Corojo (Dominican Republic):
Earthy and woody aromas characterise this fine spicy cigar at the beginning. Roasted and coffee aromas develop; a slight chill sharpness and caramel sweetness as well as fruity notes. Toward the middle, rather peppery; later earthy again, woody and somewhat harsh.
7 – Gurkha Sniper (Dominican Republic):
Careful woody aromas with some peppery spice and slightly bitter tones develop in the creamy smoke. Added to this are earthy aromas and espresso notes. Rather restrained aromas; mild and linear.
8 – Casa Turrent Serie 1942 Gran Robusto (Mexico):
Sweet sour fruity notes with a eucalyptus freshness, light pepperiness and bitter chocolate make for an interesting start. Then follow coffee aromas, herbal notes, nuts and cocoa.
9 – Davidoff Exclusive Belicoso (Dominican Republic):
Following a somewhat musty beginning, wood, coffee and nutty aromas develop, underscored by the sweetness of dried fruit. A light peppery spice and fine sourness accompany cocoa and earthy notes.
10 – Flor De Selva 20 Aniversario Robusto (Honduras):
Alongside the cedar and earthy aromas, this cigar also develops eucalyptus notes, a slight pepperiness and delicate bitter taste of tea in its creamy smoke. A smooth, harmonious cigar.
