For some, they are the best cigars from Nicaragua. Their reputation is legendary and with a certain regularity they are listed high in the top 25 of the year rankings. We are referring of course to cigars from the House of Patron.
The name stands for tradition, excellent workmanship, and almost mystical blending.
The Padron family, like so many others, has its roots in Cuba. Their path led them from their homeland to Miami and many years later, to Nicaragua.
In their new home country, things were anything but easy, but even bomb attacks could not stop the family, with their current patriarch Jorge Patron the son of the legendary Jose Orlando Padron, from continuing on with the family business.
Today we want to turn our attention to a special cigar. One of a smaller calibre but that exudes an incredible aroma and – we can reveal this much – makes the taste buds dance.
We have decided to together enjoy the Padron Maduro wrapper – an easy to handle Corona. Smaller, slimmer formats often offer unexpected pleasures of the most splendid kind. I have made myself comfortable in a cosy armchair; my tools are ready, and a drink is within reach. It’s simply time to relax and enjoy.
