THE CIGAR SMOKER’S BOOKSHELF

Every serious cigar smoker deserves a varied book collection. It is my belief that nothing goes better with a good cigar and a glass of rum than a good and entertaining book on tobacco to accompany you during a couple of hours of solitude and good reading.

The list compiled here is not intended to be a complete or exhaustive list of all the tobacco and cigar literature out there. It merely tries to scratch the surface of the extensive writings on the mighty leaf since its discovery in 1492. And it is intended to be a good starting point for anyone attempting to build a personal library on the subject.

The topics range from Min Ron Nee’s classic book on post revolution Cuban cigars to Jose O Padron’s inspiring biography; the list attempts to cover history, production, and manufacturing as well as reference guides.

All the books listed below are written in various languages (Mostly English, Spanish, Italian or German) and were purchased on Amazon from on-line vintage book merchants, book shops, directly from the authors, or found while rummaging through Havana’s street markets.

We hope you enjoy it and look forward to hearing from you, as we plan to continue to expand our Taylors Tobacconists recommended book list with feedback from our readers.
